Setup & Pairing
Start here if you cannot add, reset or reconnect your camera during initial setup or after changing your WiFi network.
Check Your WiFi Band First — 2.4 GHz Is Usually Required
Over 90% of the camera models in our current product range use 2.4 GHz WiFi and do not support 5 GHz WiFi. If setup fails, stops at 99% or times out, check that you are using a 2.4 GHz WiFi network before trying other troubleshooting steps.
My camera won’t connect after I changed my WiFi. What should I do?
After changing your router, WiFi name or WiFi password, the camera usually needs to be paired with the network again.
- Make sure the new network is 2.4 GHz WiFi if your camera does not support 5 GHz.
- Reset the camera and return it to pairing mode.
- Enter the new WiFi password and complete setup again.
- If pairing remains unstable, restart the router and try again.
If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one WiFi name, try using a dedicated 2.4 GHz network during setup.
Why can’t the app find or add my camera?
Make sure you are using the correct app for your camera and that the camera is in pairing mode.
- Use a 2.4 GHz WiFi network if required by your camera.
- Reset the camera if it is not ready for pairing.
- Keep the camera near the router during setup.
- Allow Bluetooth, Local Network or Location permissions if the app requests them.
If the camera powers on but never enters pairing mode, contact the original seller for the correct setup procedure.
Why does camera setup get stuck at 99% or time out?
First check the WiFi band. Using 5 GHz WiFi is a common reason camera setup reaches 99% and then fails.
- Connect through a 2.4 GHz WiFi network.
- Reset the camera and start setup again.
- Check that the WiFi password is correct.
- Keep the camera close to the router during pairing.
If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one WiFi name, try separating the bands temporarily.
Why won’t my camera scan the QR code during setup?
If the camera does not recognize the QR code:
- Increase your phone screen brightness.
- Clean the camera lens.
- Slowly adjust the distance between the phone and camera.
- Avoid strong reflections or direct sunlight on the screen.
- Confirm that the QR code was generated using the correct WiFi information.
If QR pairing still fails, reset the camera and follow the pairing method supplied with your device.
How do I reset my security camera?
Most security cameras have a physical Reset button, although its location may vary by model.
- Keep the camera powered on.
- Locate the Reset button. If it is inside a small recessed hole, use a suitable pointed tool such as a reset pin or paper clip to press it.
- Make sure you are actually pressing the button inside the hole, then press and hold it continuously rather than giving it a quick press.
- Keep holding until the camera gives a reset response, such as a voice prompt, status-light change or camera movement.
If there is no response, check that the tool is reaching and pressing the actual Reset button before trying again.
Still unable to complete setup? Check the 2.4 GHz WiFi network first. If the network is correct and the camera still cannot pair, contact the original seller for model-specific setup support.
Offline & Network Connection
Start here if your camera was working before but now appears offline, disconnects frequently or has trouble maintaining WiFi or 4G connectivity.
Why does my camera show “Offline” or keep going offline?
If the camera was previously working normally, check the basic power and network conditions first.
- Confirm that the camera has stable power.
- Check whether your router and internet connection are working normally.
- Check the WiFi or 4G signal strength at the camera location.
- Restart the camera and, if necessary, the router.
If the problem started after changing the router, WiFi name or WiFi password, see Setup & Pairing because the camera may need to be connected to the network again.
Why can I view the camera at home but not when I am away?
You can test remote access while you are still at home.
- Make sure the camera remains powered on. Some users switch off the camera or its power source when leaving home, which will make the device unavailable remotely.
- While still at home, turn off WiFi on your phone and switch to mobile data, then try to view the camera again.
- If the camera still works through mobile data, remote access is working normally.
- If the camera shows Offline or cannot be accessed after switching your phone to mobile data, restart the router and camera, then reconnect the camera to the network if necessary.
If the camera is powered on, connected to the internet and accessible through mobile data while you are at home, it should generally remain accessible when you leave home.
Why can’t my 4G camera connect to the mobile network?
Check the SIM card and network compatibility first.
- Confirm that the SIM card is active and has available mobile data.
- Check whether the SIM works normally in another compatible device.
- Confirm that the camera supports your local carrier and frequency bands.
- Check the APN settings if your carrier requires manual APN configuration.
If the camera uses a built-in or bundled SIM service, contact the original seller for the correct network configuration and service information.
My 4G camera is online, but the video keeps buffering. What should I check?
If the camera shows Online but video loads slowly or keeps buffering:
- Check the 4G signal strength at the installation location.
- Confirm that the SIM still has available data and has not been speed-limited by the carrier.
- Try a lower video-quality setting.
- Restart the camera and reopen the app.
If buffering continues even with a strong mobile signal, contact the original seller for model-specific network troubleshooting.
Camera was working before but now keeps disconnecting? Check power, signal strength and network stability first. If the issue started after changing the router or WiFi settings, return to Setup & Pairing and reconnect the camera to the network.
App, Account & Subscription
Use this section for app login, account verification, software updates and recurring cloud-subscription issues.
I forgot my password or cannot log in to the app. What should I do?
Use the Forgot Password or account-recovery option provided by the app.
Password reset, account verification and other account-level actions are controlled by the app or service operator. A camera manufacturer or seller does not automatically have access to your app account simply because the camera uses that app.
If self-service recovery does not work, use the Help, Customer Service or Online Support options provided inside the corresponding app.
Why am I not receiving a verification code?
- Confirm that the email address or phone number was entered correctly.
- Check the Spam or Junk folder for email verification codes.
- If verification is sent by SMS, confirm that your phone can receive text messages normally.
- Wait briefly before requesting another code.
If the code still does not arrive, contact the corresponding app’s support service because account verification is handled by the app operator.
Why won’t the app open or work correctly after an update?
- Fully close the app and reopen it.
- Check that the app still has the required phone permissions.
- Clear the app cache where supported.
- If the problem continues, reinstall the app from its official App Store or Google Play listing.
If the app still cannot open or works abnormally after reinstalling, report the issue through the corresponding app’s customer-support channel.
How do I cancel my cloud storage subscription?
Cancel the subscription through the same platform or service where it was purchased.
- Apple App Store: manage the subscription through Apple Subscriptions.
- Google Play: manage it through Google Play Subscriptions.
- Purchased inside the app or through another provider: use the app’s subscription or billing section.
Removing a camera from the app or uninstalling the app does not cancel an active recurring subscription.
Why am I still being charged after removing or no longer using my camera?
A recurring cloud subscription can continue even if you:
- remove the camera from the app;
- stop using the camera;
- the camera becomes damaged;
- the camera is lost or stolen; or
- uninstall the app.
These actions do not automatically cancel the subscription. You must cancel it through the app, App Store, Google Play or other payment platform that manages the recurring payment.
If the subscription shows as successfully cancelled but a new charge occurs after the effective cancellation date, contact the subscription or payment platform with the billing record.
Account, verification and subscription services are managed by the corresponding app or service operator. For account-specific or billing-specific actions, use the support options provided inside the app or by the payment platform that processed the subscription.
Storage & Recording
Check common SD card, local recording, playback and cloud-storage problems.
Why is my SD card not detected by the camera?
First check whether the memory card is supported by your camera.
- Confirm the supported card type, such as TF / microSD.
- Check the maximum storage capacity supported by your camera model.
- Check any other card specifications stated for the device.
- Make sure the card is fully inserted and check whether it appears in the app’s storage settings.
- If possible, test with another known-working card that meets the camera’s specifications.
If the camera requires the card to be initialized or formatted, back up any important data first.
Why is my camera not recording to the SD card?
First confirm that the SD card is detected by the camera.
- Confirm that local recording is enabled.
- Check whether the recording mode is continuous, scheduled or event-triggered.
- If using event recording, create a clear motion event and check whether a recording is generated.
- Check that the card has available storage or that loop recording is enabled where supported.
If the card is not detected at all, see Why is my SD card not detected by the camera? first.
Why can’t I play back recordings from the SD card?
First try playback through the camera app.
Some cameras are designed to manage and play local recordings through the app rather than directly from the memory card on a computer.
- Confirm that the SD card is still detected.
- Check that the correct date and time range are selected.
- Confirm that recordings actually exist for that period.
Do not format the card if the recordings are important.
My cloud storage subscription is active, but there are no recordings. Why?
First check how your camera records. Many security cameras—especially battery and solar models— record when an event is triggered rather than recording continuously 24/7.
- Confirm that motion, human or other event detection is enabled.
- Check that the camera is within the active detection schedule.
- Check detection sensitivity and detection areas.
- Confirm that the camera is online.
- Confirm that the cloud subscription is active for the correct device.
To test it, create a clear motion event in front of the camera, then check whether a new cloud recording appears.
If events are detected normally but no cloud recordings are created, use the support service inside the corresponding app.
Does SD card recording require a cloud subscription?
Usually, no. Local recording and playback from an SD card normally do not require a cloud-storage subscription. A subscription is generally required for cloud storage and cloud playback.
Available recording features can still vary by camera model and app.
Also remember that many cameras use loop recording: when the SD card becomes full, older recordings may be overwritten automatically. Back up or transfer important recordings regularly if you need to keep them.
Local storage and cloud storage are different systems. For SD-card problems, check card compatibility and recording settings first. For cloud billing or cloud-service problems, use the support options provided inside the corresponding app.
Video, PTZ & Detection
Use these checks for live video, night vision, PTZ movement, event detection and push-notification problems.
My camera is online, but there is no video or video keeps loading. What should I do?
- Fully close and reopen the app.
- Check the camera’s network signal.
- Try a lower video-quality setting.
- Test from another network if available.
- Restart the camera and, if necessary, the router.
If the camera remains online but live video consistently cannot load, contact the original seller for model-specific troubleshooting.
Why is night vision not working?
- Check that night vision is enabled or set to Auto.
- Clean the lens and light-sensor area.
- Test the camera in a genuinely dark environment.
- Check whether strong nearby lighting or reflections are preventing night mode from switching correctly.
- Restart the camera.
If infrared or supplementary lighting never activates, contact the original seller.
Why is the image blurry, frozen or showing abnormal colors?
- Clean the camera lens and remove any protective film if it is still attached.
- If video freezes, check the network signal and try a lower video-quality setting.
- Restart the camera.
- Check the available image settings in the app.
If the image remains abnormal under different lighting and network conditions, contact the original seller.
Why won’t my PTZ camera move, or why does it move by itself?
First test manual PTZ control in the app.
If the camera will not move:
- Restart the camera.
- Check for a PTZ calibration or reset-position option.
- Make sure no movement limit is enabled.
If the camera moves automatically: check whether Auto Tracking, Patrol or Preset functions are enabled.
Do not force the camera head by hand unless the product instructions specifically allow it.
Why am I not receiving motion detection or alarm notifications?
First check whether the camera is actually detecting events.
- Make sure motion, human or other detection is enabled.
- Check the active schedule, sensitivity and detection area.
- Create a clear motion event in front of the camera.
If an event is recorded in the app but your phone receives no notification, check the app’s push settings and your phone’s notification permissions.
If no event is detected at all, review the camera’s detection settings first.
If events are detected but cloud recordings are missing, see Storage & Recording → Cloud Storage .
Function names and menu locations can differ between camera models and app versions. If the relevant settings are not available or the problem appears hardware-related, contact the original seller.
Firmware, Hardware & Warranty
Firmware, physical hardware and warranty issues often depend on the exact camera model and the seller that supplied it.
My camera stopped working after a firmware update. Where can I get the correct firmware?
If the camera provides an update through its app, use the update method provided for that device.
If an update fails or the camera stops working afterward, do not install random firmware files from another camera simply because the app, model name or appearance looks similar.
Firmware can be specific to the hardware configuration. Contact the original seller for the correct firmware or recovery procedure.
My camera will not power on. What should I check?
- Check the power cable and connection.
- Check the power adapter or power source.
- Confirm that the power specification matches the camera.
- For battery or solar cameras, check battery and charging status.
- Check for visible water or physical damage.
If the camera still shows no sign of power, contact the original seller rather than opening or repairing the device yourself.
My camera has water or physical damage. What should I do?
Disconnect the power if it is safe to do so and avoid repeatedly powering on a camera that has visible damage or possible water inside.
Take clear photos or video of the damage and contact the original seller.
Warranty coverage depends on the product specification, installation conditions, seller policy and the cause of the damage.
